Community organisations assist with cultural inclusion in early learning environments. SNAICC - National Voice for our Children advocates for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and promotes culturally safe resources (SNAICC, 2023). Refugee Council supports refugee and asylum-seeker families with settlement and education (Refugee Council of Australia, 2021).
Ethnic Communities’ Councils provide advocacy and programs for CALD communities in each state (ECCV, 2022). First Languages Australia works to revive and teach Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages (First Languages Australia, 2022). Multicultural NSW funds projects within the community that promote inclusion and cultural exchange Multicultural NSW, 2023).
By working with these organisations, educators gain access to specialist knowledge, resources, and services that build on the cultural identity and well-being of children.
